Dandy's Journal revisited

Dandy made 3 entries to his journal 15 years ago today. Just to simplify things, I have condensed them all down into this one post.

The strangers are back
Oct. 24th, 2003 at 9:37 AM

Well it did not snow in the house after all, but it's still very cold. The strangers are here again to fix the white thing, and they are making a terrible noise. Both me and Flopsy Girl are hiding under the table, and we have taken our treat ball with us, we don't want the strangers getting our raisins!

I have just had some very bad news

I'm very sorry to have to tell you all that one of my very best friends has gone to the rainbow bridge. Thumper-Binx was a very wise bun who gave me lots of very good advice, and I'm sure that Tigger and the gang will miss him greatly. When you get there Thumpie, save some dandelions for me.

Bad news
We are really really sorry to hear that Thumper-Binx has gone to the bridge :-( We have had some sad moments today thinking of him and we know that his 2foots will be hurting a lot - the rest of his gang will be missing him but they will think of him with good memories and keep on doing all the good things that he taught them. We will remember you Thumper-Binx - binky nicely over the bridge.

I have to say its a very sad day. My 2foots have been very sad due to the long tail short eared buck going to the other side. I think they called it a rat. He died as far as I can tell a couple of days ago. The buck 2foot has been very moody and not talking too us.
I offer all my packs support and feelings for Tigger and the gang. Its very sad when someone reaches the rainbow bridge, although a good way to get over it is to have what I think is called a wake and eat lots of tasty good things and remeber him for what he did.

Lots of love and support to those who will miss him

What a day!

The strangers came to bring the white thing, ok, so far, so good. But did they make it work? Did they Frith! all they did was make even more noise than last time, knock great big holes in the wall, and then go away again. They are not coming back until Tuesday. I hope it does not snow again.

What a day!
Well, that's just typical! They promise to do things and then they don't - what is it with these 2foots? I dunno - we wouldn't do anything like that now would we Dandy?
Glad to hear that you took your treat ball with you under the table - why should those strangers have your raisins? They can go and get their own from a place called "The shops" if they want any. Ooooh, these strangers make me mad!!!! We had strangers in our house today - the washing machine man came to fix the washer AGAIN - we have only had it five weeks and it broke again! Poor mum was nearly like your 2foot with no hair! I mean to say - how the heck can I have clean vet bed for in front of the fire if the machine is broken! No consideration at all - tut tut! We shall have to see if we can teach these 2foots and strangers a lesson!
How's Flopsy Girl - not too shaken up by the strangers I hope.
I hope that the weather can hold out until you get the white thing fixed - if not you can ask your 2foots for the quilt off their bed :-)
Speak soon Dandy boy - regards to Flopsy Girl
