The Hairy Mob
Dec. 7th, 2003 at 8:07 AM
The 2-foots are now on their way to the Bunny Camp (after giving us a treat stick of course), so that leaves me and Flopsy Girl free to play. I thought that I would check out the Hairy Mob's diary at
Well as usual, one or two of them are under the weather, so send please them your best wishes. It's amazing though how bright and bubbly they all are! especially when you hear how old some of them are. It makes you realise just how important it is to choose your pet 2-foot's carefully. So please remember, if you were thinking of giving somebun a 2-foot as a Christmas present, that A 2-FOOT IS FOR LIFE, NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS! It is a big responsibility taking on a 2-foot, they need constant care and attention, and they can be extremely unpredictable, so rather that risk choosing a dud, you would be better buying something like a carrot.

Hi Dandy and Flopsy Girl - hope you had a great time today while your pets where out and about :-) We have all agreed unanimously that your statement about 2foots being for life and not just for Christmas is spot on! How somebuns can just go and pick a 2-foot without learning all that they can about them, what they need in the way of entertainment and feeding, how fickle they can be, the moods that can take them etc .... well, it's totally ridiculous to expect to have a pet 2foot without a lot of research first! Personally, I would go for the carrot as well only I was as lucky as you to have studied and researched 2-foots for ten years - I then adopted my mum and dad and I have to say that they are living up to my expectations and all is going well so far. A little more training here and there and they should soon be star pets and I will be able to enter them in some competitions and let people know just how lovely these pets are.
We've had another busy day as the carpet tiles came and mum and dad where busy cutting and measuring - some of the condos have been done but some still need to be done - mum said that there is just not enough time in the day - well, as if we didn't know that! When we want to play with our 2foots it's suddenly time for them to want a sleep and so on ... little snoozes now and again should suffice but no, they want a full two or three hours! Well really!
Nearly time for our treats - yummy - that is where pet 2foots do come in handy - saves having to open the cupboards and jars yourself, train a 2-foot to do it :-)
Tatty bye for now you two - thanks so much for putting our diary link on your journal :-)

PS What's the latest developments on the box?
Dec. 7th, 2003 11:36 am (local)
The box is still in the kitchen, and the 2-foots are still arguing what to do with it. The one with no fur on top of his head wants to keep it to make a brand new castle out of, but the other one still wants to throw it away. Both me and Flopsy Girl have got both our paws crossed that it gets turned into a castle.

The bunny camp day out
Oh, Oh, Oh, we are all excited - mum came and told us that she had been looking at rabbit rehome and some of the residents of the bunny camp have found homes (pending home checks) - we are so excited for them :-) We hope that all the homes are fine and that all the buns will be able to go and settle in for their first christmas there - oh, it's so exciting :-)
Mum said that no-one had reserved Scarlet :-( She is sad 'cos she has written and got replies back about Scarlet but every time she 'phones and leaves a message they never get back :-( She knows that they are busy but it has been ages now and mum has 'phoned lots of times.
Oliver might like Scarlet - she sounds a nice bun and mum wishes that she could see some pictures of her - could you get your 2-foot with no hair on his head to get some pictures please Dandy?
It's exciting when some buns find homes, we are very happy for them - the sooner the better 'cos the winter is really coming in today - brrrr, it's been cold - mum has had the heating on and off all day :-)
Speak to you soon Dandy - let us know if your pets got you some treats from the bunny camp :-)

Re: The bunny camp day out
Well I think that all the news is good. I overheard the 2-foots saying that another 3 or 4 buns had found suitable pet 2-foots, and if I heard correctly, one of them is scarlet!
I'm sorry to hear that Sonya at Bunny Camp has not been returning calls, apparently, she is very forgetful, and if you don't actually catch her and speak to her, then it's a bit hit and miss if you actually get a call back! Please ask your 2-foots not to be so hard on her though, as what with having the sanctuary to run, three small 2- foots demanding constant attention, a husband who has just had to have his 2nd leg amputated, and a Mother in hospital, she does not know if she is coming or going!

Flopsy Girl says that she thinks I got it wrong about Scarlet having found a home, so if I were you, I'd get your pet 2-foot to keep trying to call Sonya at Bunny Camp.
