Dandy's Journal revisited

15 years ago today, Dandy was pontificating on his favourite subject... FOOD!

Apr. 6th, 2004 at 7:14 AM

I have to say, I've been very impressed with the food these last few days. On Saturday, one of the 2-foots came home with a HUGE bad of dandelions, and we have been having some every day. This is a delicacy that I have missed during the winter, and I look forward to eating them on a regular basis. I wonder why they don't have them at the Sainsbury's allotment?
Current Mood: hungry

Hi Dandy mate Mister Jingles here - do you know I really don't think our 2foot has ever and I mean EVER giving us dandelions. If Sainsbury's allotment doesn't sell them, where do you get them?

Mister Jingles ....... (Loppy, TiGgEr, Honeybunny, Bobbin and Precious)

PS - Hugs to Flopsy Girl :x

I'm not sure where he got them, but they did not come in plastic bags, and they are covered in mud, so he has to wash them. Your 2-foots need a serious talking to though dandelions are GREAT!!!

Well we get dandelions quite often. Whenever our 2-foot goes to the allotment - the big muddy one with lots of veggies. I think that you should complain to the other allotments and tell them to get them in!

Yummy... we love Dandelions!
Our 2 foots never go to the allotments but we get loads of them too.
I think they grow in the garden... i have seen them when I was playing out in the garden and I ate loads of them!
Some of them have got flowers, our favourite bit!

PS: Dandy could you send a picture of this new toy of yours? Use our 2-foots e-mail address so that when she gets it she will know what to buy for us... sandrine.boinet@blueyonder.co.uk

Sainsburys allotment?
Dandybun, what is a 'sainsburys allotment'? I know that my 2-foot goes there a lot, sometimes she comes back with veggies and sometimes she comes back all tired and grumpy :(

Re: Sainsburys allotment?
An allotment is a place where the 2-foots slave away to grow food for us. These allotments have different names, and one of them is called Sainsbury's. The food at the Sainsbury's allotment grows in plastic bags which is very convenient, whereas the food in the garden does not. I hope this answers your question! Give my best wishes to Biccy by the way, I used to read his journal a lot in the old days when he used to keep one.

How strange... you let your pet 2-foot writes a journal!

Re: 2foots own journals?!
I have never heard of such stupidity. Who would be interested in a 2-foot journal? Mind you, I suppose it shows your 2-foot is very smart if it can use the computer and type. This 2-foot would have been put in the freak show of a travelling circus in the olden days!

Dandelions are wonderful Mine come from the back garden but have to be washed because of foxes, which is a mystery to me!
I like the leaves best, which is just as well as sometimes the flowers are in short supply. I have seen millions of flowers in the front garden though but apparently these are 'banned' because of something called 'pollution' from the busy road. Is this similar to noise, dust and smells as I know we have a lot of those from the busy road?

Re: 2foots own journals?!
I've asked Flopsy Girl about Pollution. She says that it is actually pronounced Paul Hooton, and he is a 2-foot that pushes bits of paper though the door every day. Maybe he has something on his shoes that cause the problem.

Re: 2foots own journals?!
Our 2-foot is quite clever but she still needs training. She took Ebby to the V.E.T the other day, and she wasn't even sick!!!
Stoopid 2-foot! I shall pee on her shoes to teach her a lesson!

I hope that 2 foot remembered the Yarrow as well as the goodies, otherwise you'll "fur" your pipes up.
Love from Auntie Barbara xxxxxx

Re: Dandilions
What do you mean auntie barbara?! I don't smoke a pipe! Is dandelion bad for us even if it is not delivered by Paul Hooten?
Trouble with my 2f-oot is she wouldn't know yarrow if it peed on her shoes!
