Dandy's Journal revisited

15 years ago today, Dandy was concerned that the world was about to be taken over by fish...

A big Pond
Aug. 10th, 2004 at 8:41 AM

I am very concerned. Flopsy Girl is very concerned, we are both very concerned....

Outside in the garden, the pond seems to be getting bigger. When we look out of the front window, there is water running down the street, it this does not stop soon, then the house will float away. Now this will not be too serious as long as the 2-foots are in the house with us when it floats away, but what if they are not at home, how will they find the house?

Another concern is, will they be able to find the Sainsbury's allotment to get our food? If the house moves somewhere else, maybe they will lose their bearings? Also, if they leave the big metal box on wheels outside, then that may float away too, and then how will we be able to go see Auntie Francis (the best bunny vet in the world)?

We are both watching very carefully for any signs that the house may be starting to float. There have not been any yet, but it can only be a matter of time...

Oh golly, yes we too are worried that our salad and grass will float way. We have huge ponds forming outside our house.

A conspiracy?
Do you think it's a bid to take over the world by fish?

Re: A conspiracy?
Come to think of it, it does seem that way. Why else would we be having all this water?

Re: A conspiracy?
We are not sure about this fish conspiracy... Fish do not seem that intelligent. I mean they hit there heads on the side of the tank things when you put your nose near them ad they also seem to be forgetful... I rather think its more likely to be Water fowl (ie ducks) as they like lots of water... As seen on the light up box in the corner.

Maybe the water fowl are helping the fish?

I have heard that fish do congregate in schools, though. I think there's also a UniVerSooty of Whales.

I think that a pond is growing so that the little pond fills and reaches the Big Pond and we can all visit one another!

Hope your 2foots don't get lost, though. Can they swim?

If the fish are going to take over the world, would they take care of us? Would we have to eat Sea Weeds?

It would be nice if we could all visit one another, but we would all need to swim, not just the 2-foots.
