Dandy's Journal revisited

15 years ago today, Dandy had solved a mystery

A mystery Solved
Oct. 8th, 2004 at 3:30 AM

Upstairs is a room where Flopsy Girl sometimes has to go when her bum needs a wash. In this room is a HUGE thing that you can put water in, and every day, the 2-foots fill it with water and splash about in it. Now I have never understood the reason for this, at least not until today...

This morning, I was in a VERY good mood, so I allowed my 2-foot (the one with the fur on the top of her head) to take me upstairs and put me on that bed thing that they sleep on. Well The other 2-foot was still in the bed thing and I really enjoyed it when they both made a fuss of me... That is until the 2-foot (the one with no fur on the top of his head) lifted his arm up WHAT A STINK!!! It smelt like something had crawled into his armpit and died!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, after he went and splashed about in the water, the awful smell went away, so that must be why they do it, but why they don't just lick themselves clean like we do totally baffles me.
Current Mood: curious

the mystery solved
My two foots use a smaller version of what you are talking about, it lives in the ki-chin. They sit me on the big silver thing and wash my eyes for me, I don't really mind my eyes being washed as it helps get all the sticky stuff out. Maybe that is what your's do, they have a big version thet they wash their eyes in too, i bet at some point though they fell in and decided that they could probably wash everything whilst in there and that way they didn't have to lick themselves, the water would do it for them.

I've tried to clean my 2foots using my Tung sometimes, but can you imagine how long it would take to clean something that big? I think their Tungs just aren't long enough so they have to resort to other means! At least they realize when they need to be cleaned!

I have a proposal. How about no claw clipping? I mean we need them to scratch and dig!

Strange cleaning places
Neither Casper or I have had to visit one of these strange 2 foot cleaning places, we have noticed another room that seems to have something in the ceiling where water comes out of.

Casper went to the vets today and even he looked at his claws, maybe they find them attractive!

I personally like mine to see how much red stuff i can cause to come out of the 2 foot!

Yes - I was at the V-E-T yesterday and she admired my nails, too! But the next thing, they were gone! Watch out for that!

They want them for themselves, have you seen how pathetic their own claws are?
