The Party For Jacob's Passing
Jul. 3rd, 2004 at 11:01 AM

That brilliant bun Jacob went to the rainbow bridge yesterday. That's why it is raining so much today. Me and Flopsy Girl have figured it out. All the stars in the sky that you can see, all those millions of them are all the buns at the bridge, and every time a really special bun joins them, they all cry with joy because they are all so glad to see him, and THAT'S where the rain comes from, it's all the tears of joy falling from the sky. I'm sure that when we next see a clear night sky, there will be an extra bright star up there, and that will be Jacob!

So in celebration of Jacob's life, and at the suggestion of Bramble's pack TODAY AND TOMORROW ARE OFFICIALLY DECLARED PARTY DAYS!!! Now where did the 2-foots leave that lemon cake...

Party and Jacob
Thank you for that Dandy and Flopsy - reading about the stars and the rain made us cry but they where happy tears - we also let our mum and dad see your entry but we made sure that they didn't see the address! Mum and dad both cried but then they smiled and said what a lovely way to remember all those buns that have gone to the Bridge. We are all going to look out at the stars tonight when all the 2foots have gone to bed - it will be nice and peaceful then. Maybe we will see Jacob's star and he might even wink at us - wouldn't that be wonderful?

Dandy's Journal revisited

15 years ago today, Dandy was musing about Saturdays...

There are some very good things about Saturdays
Jul. 10th, 2004 at 8:26 AM

I think what is best about Saturdays is that only one of the 2-foots (the one with the fur on the top of her head) goes to work. The other one stays at home for a while. This means, that there is more time to sort out breakfast!

Take this morning for example. The 2-foot with no fur on the top of his head went out into the garden and gathered some yarrow, some sage, and some parsley (both normal, and flat leaf varieties), now that's what I call a breakfast!!!

Saturdays are nice, but usually my 2foots are noisier than usual 'cause they don't bother going to work that day. I don't get my full mid-day nap and beauty sleep, so I get a little cranky. But I usually get an extra nice salad and that makes up for it!
