Dandy's Journal revisited

15 years ago today, Dandy was discussing colour...

I don't know if you have noticed, but just like us buns, 2-foots come in a whole range of different colours. I have always assumed that like us, a 2-foot is born a particular colour, and then keeps it, but my 2-foot (the one with no fur on the top of his head) seems to be changing. I first noticed it last night after we had been out in the garden all day, he seems to be turning red. This may be an attempt of course to try to compete with my good looks (some hope!) by copying the colour of my eyes, but I'm really not sure.

I'll let you know how things progress...

Well these 2-foots have very little fur, so I assume you are saying the skin is changing to red, not the fur? Perhaps our skin changes colour too, we just don't notice because our fur covers it up? I must admit that the area around my, aherm, behind sometimes went a bit red . . . but it was also sore. Maybe your 2-foot is sore and needs to go to see Auntie Frances?

Sore?
Hmm. I don't think my skin changes colour, it's always pink, as is Flopsy Girl's. I know this because we groom each other a lot, and we see each other's skin. I don't know what could have made my 2-foot sore though, all he did was to sit on his backside all day, and that has not changed colour!

Re: Sore?
Perhaps he's having an al-er-jic reaction to sitting on his backside all day. One of our 2foots keeps having these from nettle plants (Not our Nettle, she just scratches). You'll have to make him do more exercise and stop him from sitting down. If necessary I'm sure we can send somebun over to help... Brambles getting good at the mashing, you should have seen her taking down the rexie buns twice her size, or we could send Birch (just because she's been annoying us)...

Interesting! I have noticed that sometimes the 2foot I call Dad's arms get a little browner after a day outside. Maybe he's trying to become blackish like me since I'm so beautiful! The 2foot I call Mom sometimes changes to reddish. I haven't really figured that out yet... Maybe 2foots loose their coloring sometimes or maybe they can change it like I've heard LizArts can
