It's looking good. We have 4" now which ensured I had a nice, quiet evening as mum dragged poor, cold, tired Buncle J out to have a look at it.

Aye Yi Yi ... do you need help Cedric?

Shall I call on our FEMA? As Her Right Honorouble Ambassador to the Pacific-Northwest Underdeveloped Lands I DO have a bit of clout in high places.

Is this snow normal for there where you live?

The Brits used to get a lot of snow, but in recent decades winters have got milder and wetter. Last 2 winters, though have been colder, with relatively unusual amounts of snow. To be honest a visitor from a country with regular colder winters would not think it excessive, but because we are not used to it a slight covering sends our road-system into a panic. Because snow is occasional, we don't have prepare for it like they would in a country that gets regular heavy snow. So in the south-east, where we live, a centimetre or two causes grid lock on the roads! It sounds like Cedric, who lives in the frozen north, has got it worse than us though.
