A Problem

The weather is turning colder. The central heating controls are high on the wall. The 2-foots are skinflints and refuse to switch on the heating except for first thing in the morning and then again in the evening. How can we circumvent this?

Oh Cedric for all your years have you learnt nuffin?

Just look like Arthur Riteous is playing you up and they will leave it on. Then of course bound around like a two year old just to make sure they continue to do so!

When you are as old as me and feel the cold like I do, then you see how you feel!

The teo control wires run down the wall behind the sheet rock and wall paper. Late tonight chew a small hole and connect the two wires together - and then run far away and hide. If the house does not blow up, come back and cover the little hole with poop and hay and you are good to go.

If all else fails, are there any extra blankets around that you can appropriate? Maybe just curling up under the ones on your 2-foots bed would do it. Of course, it's better if you can be under there with a 2-foot sandwiched on either side of you.

They don't have blankets, they have a duvet. This presents two problems:-

1. The duvet is upstairs on their bed and with my arthritis I tend not to use the stairs now

2. Their new bed is at least 20 feet high, even as a young bun I couldn't jump that high

Is it possible for you to squeeze under the couch cushions? How about pulling down one of the drapes and rolling yourself up in it? Towels from the kitchen? A scatter rug from the floor?
