Crazy 2 foots

One thing Flopsy Girl and I do not lack is entertainment. I don't know what is is that the 2 foots get up to all day when they go out, but I really don't know why they bother. Take yesterday for example. They got out of bed while it was still dark, and started dashing around the place as though their very lives depended on it. Of course they attended to us first. Chris got us a veggie stick, and Paul got us some hay, but within a few minutes they were gone.

Paul was the first to arrive back. He let me out of the cage first, combed and brushed me, and then I sat on his lap for a while. He seemed to appreciate me doing that, because he seemed to relax by stroking me (not that I'm complaining you understand). Then he went and got Flopsy girl, brushed and combed her, and put her on the floor with me (she won't sit on his knee, she thinks it's beneath her dignity). Anyway, then he brought our food in, and went out again. He was gone for over an hour, and when he came back, he had Chris with him. They were both tired, so when they had finished eating, and Chris had cleaned out our cage, they both sat down and fell asleep. When they woke up several hours later, they were both really grumpy, but that did not stop them getting us one of those nice carrots with the green tops on to take into our cage. The 2 foots then trudged off to bed for about 3 hours, before they started the whole thing again. We had been out for hours and hours, and we just chilled out, ran around when we wanted to, and generally had a great time. Why can't they be like us? Why do they disappear all day? They obviously don't enjoy whatever it is they do as much as they enjoy staying at home with us, so why do they do it?
